เอสซีจี ผู้นำด้านความยั่งยืน สะท้อนผ่าน 3 ดัชนีความยั่งยืนชั้นนำระดับโลก คะแนนสูงสุดจาก DJSI ในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมวัสดุก่อสร้าง Sustainalytics ได้ ESG Industry Top Rated ในกลุ่มธุรกิจอุตสาหกรรม และ MSCI ระดับ AA ในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมวัสดุก่อสร้าง เป็นผลจากการดำเนินงานตามกลยุทธ์ ESG 4 Plus นักลงทุนเชื่อมั่นองค์กรเติบโตยั่งยืน บริหารงานมาตรฐานสากล เสริมแกร่งธุรกิจด้วยนวัตกรรมโซลูชัน เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลตอบโจทย์ลูกค้าสายกรีน มุ่งแก้วิกฤตโลกเดือด ตั้งเป้าลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ ปี 2593 ควบคู่ลดเหลื่อมล้ำในสังคม แก้จน สร้างอาชีพให้ชุมชน

          นายรุ่งโรจน์ รังสิโยภาส กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ เอสซีจี กล่าวว่า “จากการดำเนินธุรกิจตามกลยุทธ์ ESG 4 Plus มุ่ง Net Zero – Go Green – Lean เหลื่อมล้ำ – ย้ำร่วมมือ ยึดหลักเชื่อมั่นและโปร่งใส เน้นสร้างธุรกิจเติบโตควบคู่กับความยั่งยืนด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม สังคม และบรรษัทภิบาล ส่งผลให้เอสซีจีได้รับการประเมินด้านความยั่งยืนชั้นนำของโลกรวม 3 ดัชนี คือ ดัชนีความยั่งยืนดาวโจนส์ (Dow Jones Sustainability Indices – DJSI) ได้คะแนนสูงสุดในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมวัสดุก่อสร้าง (Construction Materials) Sustainalytics ได้ ESG Risk Ratings ระดับ ESG Industry Top Rated ในกลุ่มธุรกิจอุตสาหกรรม (Industrial Conglomerates) และ Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ได้ระดับ AA (Leader) ในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมวัสดุก่อสร้าง (Construction Materials) ซึ่งนักลงทุนทั่วโลกใช้ทั้ง 3 ดัชนีความยั่งยืนนี้เป็นข้อมูลประกอบการลงทุนเพื่อสร้างความมั่นใจว่า ธุรกิจเติบโตอย่างแข็งแกร่งและยั่งยืน บริหารงานตามมาตรฐานสากล ควบคู่กับการพัฒนาสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม ทั้งนี้ ความสำเร็จดังกล่าวเกิดขึ้นจากความทุ่มเทของชาวเอสซีจีที่ร่วมกันพัฒนานวัตกรรมโซลูชัน เพื่อตอบความต้องการลูกค้าให้ได้รับความสะดวก ปลอดภัย คุ้มค่า และรักษ์โลก” 

            นายธรรมศักดิ์ เศรษฐอุดม รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ เอสซีจี กล่าวว่า “เพื่อลดผลกระทบวิกฤตโลกเดือด เอสซีจีตั้งเป้าหมายลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ภายในปี 2593 ด้วยการเพิ่มสัดส่วนพลังงานสะอาดแทนการใช้พลังงานฟอสซิล อาทิ พลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ เชื้อเพลิงชีวมวล พร้อมเร่งหาแหล่งพลังงานสะอาดอื่น ๆ เช่น การปลูกหญ้าเนเปียร์ พืชให้พลังงานสูง 1,000 ไร่ ที่สระบุรีแซนด์บ็อกซ์ เมืองต้นแบบคาร์บอนต่ำแห่งแรกของไทย มุ่งเป้าปลูก 30,000 ไร่ในปี 2571 ขณะเดียวกันยังพัฒนานวัตกรรมกรีน ซึ่งกำลังเป็นที่ต้องการสูง ตอบเมกะเทรนด์โลก อาทิ SCG Cleanergy ธุรกิจพลังงานสะอาดครบวงจร สินค้าและโซลูชันรักษ์โลกภายใต้ฉลาก SCG Green Choice กว่า 250 รายการ อย่างปูนคาร์บอนต่ำ (Low Carbon Cement) นวัตกรรมพลาสติกรักษ์โลก SCGC GREEN POLYMER^TM บรรจุภัณฑ์รีไซเคิล SCG Air Scrubber โซลูชันเพื่ออาคารอากาศดี ประหยัดพลังงาน  นอกจากนั้นยังร่วมกับภาครัฐ เอกชน ประชาสังคมทั้งไทย อาเซียน และโลก ให้ดำเนินงานตามแนวทาง ESG เพื่อส่งต่อโลกที่ยั่งยืนให้คนรุ่นถัดไป เช่น จัดงาน ESG Symposium 2023 เพื่อเปลี่ยนไทยสู่สังคมคาร์บอนต่ำ”  

               นายชนะ ภูมี ผู้ช่วยผู้จัดการใหญ่-การบริหารความยั่งยืน เอสซีจี กล่าวว่า “เอสซีจียังมุ่งลดความเหลื่อมล้ำในสังคมด้วยการพัฒนาทักษะอาชีพที่ตลาดต้องการ สร้างรายได้ให้ชุมชนและ SMEs เพิ่มโอกาสทางการศึกษาและสาธารณสุข รวม 50,000 คน ภายในปี 2573 เช่น อาชีพพนักงานขับรถบรรทุก โดยโรงเรียนทักษะพิพัฒน์ อาชีพช่างปรับปรุงบ้าน โดย Q-Chang (คิวช่าง) อาชีพแปรรูปผลิตภัณฑ์ และขายสินค้าออนไลน์และออฟไลน์ผ่านโครงการพลังชุมชน อาชีพผู้ช่วยพยาบาล ผู้ช่วยทันตแพทย์ นักบริบาลผู้สูงอายุ ผ่านทุนการศึกษาจากโครงการ Learn to Earn โดยมูลนิธิเอสซีจี”

            ดัชนีความยั่งยืนดาวโจนส์ (DJSI) เป็นดัชนีวัดความยั่งยืน จัดโดย S&P Global ใช้ประเมินประสิทธิผลการดำเนินธุรกิจตามแนวทางการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน เชิญบริษัทจดทะเบียนขนาดใหญ่ทั่วโลกกว่า 3,500 แห่งใน 60 อุตสาหกรรมเข้าร่วมการประเมิน ส่วน Morningstar Sustainalytics เป็นผู้นำการวิจัยด้านความยั่งยืนระดับโลกที่จัดอันดับ ESG Risk Ratings ในกองทุนหุ้นรายตัว ช่วยให้นักลงทุนทั่วโลกทราบว่า กองทุนที่ลงทุนมีความเสี่ยงด้าน ESG ทั้งสิ่งแวดล้อม สังคม บรรษัทภิบาล มากน้อยเพียงใด ในขณะที่ MSCI ESG Ratings จัดทำโดยบริษัท Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) เป็นดัชนีอ้างอิง (Benchmark) มาตรฐานวัดผลตอบแทนจากการลงทุน โดย Sustainalytics และ MSCI ประเมินจากความสามารถในการบริหารความเสี่ยงด้าน ESG ที่องค์กรเผชิญ (Risk Exposure) และความพร้อมในการบริหารจัดการความเสี่ยงนั้น ๆ (Risk Management)

SCG, a leader in sustainability, has been selected for three leading global sustainability indices after it achieved the highest score from Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) as the Industry Leader in the Construction Materials category and was rated as ESG Industry Top Rated by Sustainalytics in the industrial sector, and an AA rating in the MSCI ESG Ratings in the Construction Materials Industry. This results from operating according to the ESG 4 Plus strategy, gaining investor confidence in the organization's sustainable growth, international standard management, and strengthening business with innovative solutions and digital technologies that meet the demands of green consumers. Aiming to address the global boiling crisis, SCG has set a goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 while concurrently reducing social inequality, alleviating poverty and creating jobs for communities.

Meanwhile, Morningstar Sustainalytics is a global leader in sustainability research that provides ESG Risk Ratings for individual equity funds, assisting investors around the world in understanding the extent of ESG risks—encompassing environmental, social and governance factors—associated with the funds in which they invest. The MSCI ESG Ratings, compiled by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), serve as a standard benchmark for measuring investment returns. Sustainalytics and MSCI assess an organization's ESG risk exposure and risk management preparedness.
