กรุงศรี ร่วมกับ MUFG สนับสนุน ‘โครงการช้างศิลป์เชียงราย’

ถ่ายทอดความงดงามของงานปั้นช้างไทยสู่สายตาชาวโลก

กรุงเทพฯ (4 เมษายน 2567) – กรุงศรี (ธนาคารกรุงศรีอยุธยา จำกัด (มหาชน)) ร่วมกับ มิตซูบิชิ ยูเอฟเจ ไฟแนนเชียล กรุ๊ป (MUFG) สถาบันการเงินที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในญี่ปุ่นและเป็นกลุ่มสถาบันการเงินชั้นนำของโลก นำโดย Mr. Takashi Wakushima (ที่ 4 จากซ้าย), Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Planning Division of Krungsri ร่วมด้วยนายแพทย์กอบชัย จิตรสกุล (ที่ 3 จากซ้าย) นายกสมาคมฝรั่งเศส เชียงราย และประธานกรรมการ บริษัท กรีนวิง จำกัด พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารของกรุงศรี และ MUFG ร่วมส่งมอบงานปั้นช้างศิลป์เชียงราย จำนวน 8 เชือก เพื่อจัดตั้งใน 6 สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวต่างๆ ในประเทศญี่ปุ่น ได้แก่ อาคารทาเคยะ กรุงโตเกียว วัดคาคูโอะซัง นิตไทจิ เมืองนาโกย่า พิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะ เมืองโอตารุ กรุงฮอกไกโด รุสุสึ รีสอร์ท เมืองอะบุตะ กรุงฮอกไกโด กาล่า ยูซาว่า สโนว์ รีสอร์ท เมืองยูซาว่า จังหวัดนิงาตะ และ HOKKAIDO BALLPARK F VILLAGE กรุงฮอกไกโด ทั้งนี้ เพื่อถ่ายทอดความเป็นเอกลักษณ์อันงดงามของช้างไทยผ่านเครือข่ายของ MUFG และยังเป็นการสานต่อสัญลักษณ์แห่งมิตรภาพระหว่างไทยและญี่ปุ่นอีกด้วย

สำหรับโครงการ “ช้างศิลป์เชียงราย” ริเริ่มขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2558 โดยนายแพทย์ กอบชัย จิตรสกุล นายกสมาคมฝรั่งเศสเชียงราย และประธานกรรมการ บริษัท กรีนวิง จำกัด โครงการดังกล่าวจัดตั้งขึ้นด้วยแนวคิดที่ต้องการนำศิลปะสู่ชุมชนห่างไกลเมือง เพื่อให้ทุกคนมีโอกาสเท่าเทียมกัน มีชื่อภาษาอังกฤษว่า Art for Community และความที่ช้างเป็นสัตว์ประจำชาติไทย ที่มีบทบาทสำคัญอย่างมากในอุตสาหกรรมป่าไม้มาแต่โบราณ จึงเป็นที่มาของการถ่ายทอดความเป็นเอกลักษณ์อันงดงามของช้างไทยผ่านงานปั้นช้างศิลป์เชียงราย โดยศิลปินชาวเชียงรายจำนวน 90 ท่าน ได้ร่วมกันสร้างสรรค์ผลงานบนตัวช้างไฟเบอร์กลาสขนาดความสูง 90 เซนติเมตร จำนวน 90 เชือก ทั้งนี้เพื่อสะท้อนให้เห็นว่าเชียงรายเป็นเมืองแห่งศิลปะอย่างแท้จริง

Krungsri and MUFG extend their support to "Thai Chiang Rai Art Elephant Project",

promoting the allure of Thailand's elephant sculptures to the world

Bangkok (4 April 2024) - Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) together with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), the largest financial institution in Japan and a leading global banking group, led by Mr. Takashi Wakushima (4th from left), Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Planning Division of Krungsri, accompanied by Dr. Kobchai Jitsakula (3rd from left), President of the Alliance Française Chiang Rai, and the Chairman of Greenwing Company Limited along with the management teams of Krungsri and MUFG, presented 7 Chiang Rai Art Elephants to be placed in 6 various tourist destinations in Japan. These locations include Takeya Building in Tokyo, Kakuozan Nittaiji Temple in Nagoya, Otaru Art Base in Hokkaido, Rusutsu Resort in Hokkaido, GALA Yuzawa Snow Resort in Niigata, and HOKKAIDO BALLPARK F VILLAGE in Hokkaido. This initiative aims to showcase the beauty of Thai art elephants through MUFG's network and further strengthen the symbol of friendship between Thailand and Japan.

“The Chiang Rai Elephant Art” Project began in the year 2015 by Dr. Kobchai Jitsakula, President of the Alliance Française Chiang Rai, and the Chairman of Greenwing Company Limited. Driven by the vision to extend art to remote communities and foster equality, he coined the project "Art for Community". Moreover, considering the significant role of elephants as Thailand's national animal, especially in the forestry industry since ancient times, they served as the inspiration for conveying the exquisite uniqueness of Thai elephants through the Chiang Rai Elephant Art sculptures. Ninety local artists from Chiang Rai collaborated to create these artworks on fiberglass elephant sculptures, each standing 90 centimeters tall. This was done to reflect that Chiang Rai is truly a city of art.
