TCEB, Private Sector Partner Elevate “Annual MICE Day” into “Thailand MICE Week”
A New Face of Platform Uniting All Stakeholders to Comprehensively Drive Thailand’s MICE Industry
2 April 2026: The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB has marked 2026 as a milestone year to establish a central platform for the collaboration of both public and private sectors in driving the comprehensive development of Thailand’s MICE industry. In partnership with the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) and the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), TCEB is elevating the annual MICE Day into Thailand MICE Week 2026, scheduled for 28–30 April 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).
To serve the purpose, TCEB is bringing a wide range of MICE-related events that were previously organized separately, including MICE Standards Day, MICE Academy Day, and MICE City Summit under the umbrella of Thailand MICE Week. Meanwhile, TEA will co-locate its flagship event, Thailand MICE X-Change (TMX) 2026. The dual approach is to connect policy-driven insights from the public sector with business-driven development from the private sector, hence, multiplying values across the entire MICE ecosystem and its stakeholders. Thailand MICE Week will become an open platform for participants to gain comprehensive insights into Thailand’s MICE industry in one place. TCEB has also set an ambitious goal for Thailand MICE Week to become the country’s first Net Zero Carbon Event, reinforcing sustainability as a key competitive advantage for Thailand’s MICE industry.
Dr. Supawan Teerarat, President of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, stated that evolving global challenges and developments present significant opportunities for all industries. Thailand’s MICE sector must, therefore, bring together all stakeholders across the value chain onto a single platform to generate collective momentum and drive comprehensive development across all essential aspects of the industry.
As a government agency responsible for advancing the MICE industry, TCEB has decided to upgrade its annual MICE Day, previously a one-day event held consecutively for five years, into a three-day Thailand MICE Week 2026, taking place between 28 and 30 April 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. This initiative is carried out in collaboration with key private sector partners—TEA and TICA so that it becomes a unified space for stakeholders to exchange knowledge, foster inspiration, and collaborate in driving Thailand’s MICE industry forward with aligned direction and stronger impact.
“The co-location of TCEB’s platform and TEA’s TMX is one of the key highlights, serving as a concrete mechanism to bridge ‘policy platforms’ and ‘business platforms.’ Thailand MICE Week 2026 will showcase national policies and strategies, knowledge transfer, innovation, and the promotion of standards and sustainability. Meanwhile, Thailand MICE X-Change 2026 will serve as a business negotiation and trade-matching platform. This combination ensures that the event fully covers the entire MICE ecosystem,” Dr. Supawan added.
Thailand MICE Week 2026 will be held under the theme “MICE in Motion: Driving Thailand Towards the Future”, leveraging stronger collaboration to create a dynamic MICE ecosystem that positions Thailand as a Global MICE Destination and drives the country towards becoming a Trustworthy Opportunity Connector—a systematic hub linking economic opportunities across the region.
Thailand MICE Week 2026 is expected to welcome approximately 2,000 participants, including national and international policymakers, global speakers, C-level executives from the MICE, travel, aviation, hospitality, and venue sectors, innovators, investors, as well as academics and students. Together, they will contribute to shaping the long-term direction of Thailand’s MICE industry across all essential aspects, including policy, trends and strategy, business and marketing, human capital development, industry standards, MICE city development, innovation, and sustainability. Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge and insights to stay ahead in the evolving MICE landscape.

Thailand MICE Week 2026 is therefore more than just an event—it is a “strategic platform” that serves as a key mechanism to drive economic outcomes, cross-sector collaboration, business and investment opportunities, and Thailand’s global positioning. It reflects Thailand’s elevated role from an event host to a regional hub connecting economic opportunities under an innovation- and sustainability-driven growth model.
Ms. Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk, President of the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) stated: “The collaboration between TICA and TCEB in advancing Thai MICE industry is entering the 24th year, which has covered all aspects, including standards development, workforce capability, end users, academic partnerships, joint marketing and promotion both domestically and internationally, and bidding and event support. In addition, Thailand MICE Week 2026 will feature 12 dedicated activity zones, showcasing new development in Thailand’s MICE industry driven by collaboration among TCEB, private sector partners, and academia. These include such areas as event facilitation, event innovation, sustainability, human capital development, business matching, destination strategy, and next-generation workforce development.
TCEB has also set a goal for Thailand MICE Week 2026 to become Thailand’s first Net Zero Carbon Event, encouraging measurable greenhouse gas reduction within the MICE industry. This initiative aims to set a benchmark for future events and strengthen sustainability as a key competitive advantage of Thai MICE industry on the global stage. On a broader scale, it supports Thailand’s transition towards a low-carbon society in line with national strategies. In this connection, TCEB is inviting MICE entrepreneurs and professionals to actively reduce emissions through carbon footprint calculation and offsetting in order to become “Net Zero MICE Champions,” with certificates to be awarded during the event.
