เนื่องในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่ง Resident Representative ในประเทศไทย
เมื่อวันที่ 21 พฤษภาคม 2568 คณะผู้บริหารจากโครงการพัฒนาแห่งสหประชาชาติ (United Nations Development Programme : UNDP) นำโดย Ms. Niamh Collier Smith ตำแหน่ง Resident Representative ได้เข้าพบเพื่อเยี่ยมคารวะ นายชูฉัตร ประมูลผล เลขาธิการ คปภ. เนื่องในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่ในประเทศไทย โดยได้มีการหารือในประเด็นสำคัญ ในหลากหลายมิติ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเรื่องการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างสำนักงาน คปภ. กับ UNDP เพื่อการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ประกันภัยรูปแบบใหม่สำหรับกลุ่มประชากรที่มีความเปราะบาง การเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในรูปแบบของโครงการฝึกอบรมหรือพัฒนาองค์กรในประเด็นและแนวโน้มต่าง ๆ ที่มีนัยสำคัญต่อภาคการเงิน ซึ่งรวมถึงการกำกับดูแลภาคธุรกิจประกันภัย ตลอดจนมีการแนะนำการดำเนินโครงการกองทุนสนับสนุนการแข่งขันด้านนวัตกรรมประกันภัย (Insurance Innovation Challenges Fund) ซึ่งมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการพัฒนาและใช้เทคโนโลยีใหม่ ๆ ในการประกันภัย และสนับสนุนภาคธุรกิจประกันภัยในการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ที่เหมาะสมและมีความยั่งยืน ณ ห้องรับรอง ชั้น 2 สำนักงาน คปภ.
UNDP Delegation Led by Ms. Niamh Collier Smith Pays Courtesy Visit to
OIC Secretary-General on the Occasion of Her Appointment as Resident Representative in Thailand
On May 21, 2025, a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), led by Ms. Niamh Collier Smith, Resident Representative, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Chuchatr Pramoolpol, Secretary-General of the Office of Insurance Commission, Thailand (OIC), on the occasion of her assumption of the new post in Thailand. During the meeting, a wide range of important issues were discussed, particularly the development of collaboration between the OIC and UNDP. Key topics included the development of innovative insurance products for vulnerable populations, capacity building, and organizational development through training programs on emerging trends and issues that significantly impact the financial sector—including the regulation of the insurance industry.
Additionally, the meeting included an introduction to the Insurance Innovation Challenges Fund, a project aimed at promoting the development and application of new technologies in insurance. The fund also supports the insurance sector in designing suitable and sustainable insurance products. The meeting was held in the reception room on the 2nd floor of the OIC headquarters.
