The biggest fireworks show in Asean isdisplayed at the waterfrontof Chao Phraya River in Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre to celebrate theauspicious birthday of nation’s beloved Queen Sirikit. The firework show will be displayedalongat the Centre until August 14th together with series of celebration activities includethe royal exhibitions, fairs, performances, cultural shows and concerts from the famous singers namely Bie Sukrit Wisedkaew, Takatan Cholada and Kangsom Tanatat.  

 

The celebration activities are organized by Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre together with leading corporations from public and private sector.Under the themed celebration, “Ngan Silp Khong Mae”(The Arts Creation by Her Majesty the Queen) In Honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 84th Auspicious Birthday, joyful activities are being held from 10.00 to 22.00 at the Centre during August 12th -14th. The event opens for public free of charge.

 

In the evening of August 12th, His Excellency Mr. Tanin Kraivixien, Privy Councillor and the Vice-President of SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand presides over the candlelight ceremony which is held at the Centre, the central celebration venue for Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.  The event is attended by Prayoon Rattanasenee, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Governor together with public and private sectors from Ayutthaya include local Administration, institutions, associations, schools, local communities, and publics.

 

 

 

 

 

One of the highlight activities is a musical fireworks extravaganza which will feature altogether 8,499 fireworks, a 12-minute show, at the waterfront of Chao Phraya River in Bang Sai. The figures of 8,499 fireworks are created for this special occasion with special meaning.  The number 84 represents Her Majesty the Queen’s 84th Auspicious Birthday. Meanwhile number 9 is considered a fortunate number in the Thai belief.

The show is produced by the international award winning fireworks producer from Japan, the same producer which had conducted a stunning fireworks show in 2007 celebrating His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary at the Royal Turf Club of Thailand under the Royal Patronage.

For the show this year, the fireworks in Bang Sai will be showed along with the songs from Royal Music which is special arranged for the show.  The vivid musical fireworks will be shot from the middle of Chao Phraya River.  With the latest technology and special material that made of Thai sticky rice, it will make the brighter colors of the fireworks with less smoke.  The show is considered as the biggest and the most exciting fireworks show in Asean, with a radius of 300 meters covering both sides of Chao Praya River banks.  The musical fireworks extravaganza will be displayed every day at 20.00 hrs during August 12th 14th.

Meanwhile, other highlights and activities in Bang Sai include:  Her Majesty the Queen’s exhibitions demonstrating her royal duties; an exhibition of Her Majesty the Queen’s office, folk arts and crafts exhibition, handicraft workshops, Thai traditional performing arts, cultural shows, the giant cotton candy wrapped with sweet Roti (Roti Saimai) and concert from Thai singers namely: Bie Sukrit Wisedkaew, Takatan Cholada and Kangsom tanatat. Moreover, there are more than 400 shops for visitors to enjoy a shopping activity in different zones include river market, Thai retro-style market

 

 

 

 

 

 

(Ngan Wat), Thong Fah goods and commodities fair by the ministry of Commerce, OTOP products, traditional food stalls and many more. 

“Ngan Silp Khong Mae” (The Arts Creation by Her Majesty the Queen) is a theme celebration comprising a series of activities to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 84th Auspicious Birthday.

The themed celebration is organized by Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre together with Fresh Air Festival Co Ltd, Thairath TV, and organizations from public and private sectors.  Leading corporations which are the main sponsors are PTT Public Company Ltd and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, together with Siam Paragon as the alliance.
