With artworks  from more than 30 leading galleries all across Thailand

 

Following up the phenomenal success of the previous Hotel Art Fair, art exhibition in the hotel guest rooms, Farmgroup, the leading firm in design consultancy and an art enthusiast, treats all art lovers with the fourth edition of “Hotel Art Fair Bangkok 2017”, gathering top art pieces from 30 leading galleries all across Thailand. Guest rooms in mid-town Bangkok will transform themselves into a one of the kind casual art setting to please art lovers and the public alike.  The goal is to uplift  the Thai art scene and art industry, the fair is scheduled to happen between June 23-25, 2017 at Volve Hotel Bangkok on Sukhumvit Soi 53.

Vorathit Kruavanichkit, executive from Farmgroup, reveals that the objective of Hotel Art Fair Bangkok 2017 is to give the public easy access to art and offer Thai artists and Thai galleries a platform to make themselves known to the larger audience. The fair also aims to generate more income for artists, designers and galleries, as the firm believes that the  unique talents of Thai artists are second to none.

“The previous three editions could not be this successful without the input from the leading participating galleries and artists. Everyone played an important role into creating this successful art fair. This year our partner, Volve Hotel Bangkok on Sukhumvit soi 53, is a design hotel in the heart of the city that shares our mutual enthusiasm in art and is keen to support Thai artists, so it works out wonderfully and smoothly. The Hotel Art Fair Bangkok is different every year due to new venue and never seen before artworks.  Each galleries have their own unique styles and always curate new art works to showcase, so every year audiences can expect something refreshing and different.” Farmgroup executive says.  

As an art enthusiast himself, Vorathit hopes that every visitors would discover new and exciting art and help nurture Thai artists, designers and galleries. He also believes that art gives life pleasantry and harmony. “We believe that art is the origin of all things. It connects and builds civilization and it also drives the society as well as moving the country forward with the positive energy.”

Phathaiwat Changtrakul from Farmgroup also adds that, “Farmgroup selects the best galleries from all over Thailand with creative and artistic diversity and  highlight pieces in mind. We also pay great attention to the creative display of the works that does not have to be in the strict format, allowing art lovers to immerse themselves in different styles of art. Most galleries are considered our partners and have worked with us in the previous year.”

          Angkrit Ajchariyasophon from ARTIST+RUN talks about his expectation for the festival that, “Hotel Art Fair Bangkok” is a big voice that can promote works of Thai artists to a wider circuit. Thailand has many excellent artworks and many talented Thai artists who deserve to be internationally recognized. This year I’m bringing abstract paintings by several renowned Thai painters to showcase at this fair, including Thawijit Puengkasemsomboon, Somyot Hananuntasuk and Udom Udomsrianan. The selection also includes works by up coming  generation of  artists such as Paphonsak La-or from Chiang Mai.”

For the very  first time in Asia, visitors will  get a chance to meet Paul, the most advanced sketching robot in the world, curated by YenakArt Villa.  Paul will show off his amazing drawing skill by drawing people’s portrait with three distinctive styles. He is set to mesmerize and hypnotize the visitors with his highly artistic skills during his stay at  the hotel art fair.
