นายโชค ณ ระนอง ผู้ช่วยผู้จัดการใหญ่ ผู้จัดการสายบัตรเครดิต ธนาคารกรุงเทพ จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า ในฐานะ ‘ธนาคารชั้นนำระดับภูมิภาค’ มุ่งมั่นพัฒนาบริการและแพลตฟอร์มดิจิทัลอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อนำเสนอ Total Digital Payment Solutions ที่ตอบโจทย์ไลฟ์สไตล์การทำทุกธุรกรรมการเงิน ซึ่งรวมถึงการพัฒนาขีดความสามารถของการทำธุรกรรมในต่างประเทศ โดยเฉพาะบริการการชำระเงินข้ามประเทศแบบสแกน QR (Cross-Border QR Payment) ล่าสุด ธนาคารได้ต่อยอดความร่วมมือกับ บริษัท ยูเนี่ยนเพย์ อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล จำกัด ผู้นำด้านบริการทางการเงินของประเทศจีน พัฒนาบริการสแกน Weixin Pay QR จ่ายผ่าน ‘โมบายแบงก์กิ้งธนาคารกรุงเทพ’ ได้โดยตรง ซึ่งธนาคารกรุงเทพนับเป็นธนาคารแรกที่รองรับการสแกน Weixin Pay QR และ UnionPay QR จ่ายชำระเงินในประเทศจีน และ ‘โมบายแบงก์กิ้งธนาคารกรุงเทพ’ เป็นแอปพลิเคชันที่สามารถรองรับการใช้จ่าย ณ ร้านค้าในประเทศจีน กว่า 90% หรือ กว่า 100 ล้านจุดรับชำระเงิน
สำหรับบริการสแกน Weixin Pay QR จ่ายผ่าน ‘โมบายแบงก์กิ้งธนาคารกรุงเทพ’ จะช่วยอำนวยความสะดวกแก่นักเดินทาง และลูกค้าของธนาคารที่เดินทางไปยังประเทศจีน ที่กำลังเป็นอีกหนึ่งจุดหมายปลายทางยอดนิยมของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยในปัจจุบัน สามารถใช้ ‘โมบายแบงก์กิ้งธนาคารกรุงเทพ’ สแกนชำระค่าสินค้าและบริการต่างๆ ณ ร้านค้า ที่มีสัญลักษณ์ Weixin Pay รวมถึงบริการ UnionPay QR ที่ธนาคารในฐานะ First Mover ได้เปิดให้บริการไปก่อนหน้านี้ สามารถทำธุรกรรมได้ทันทีโดยไม่ต้องดาวน์โหลดแอปพลิเคชันเพิ่มเติม ไม่ต้องเติมเงินหรือ แลกเงินล่วงหน้า ระบบจะตัดยอดเงินจากบัญชีเงินฝากเพื่อชำระเป็นสกุลเงินท้องถิ่น คิดอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนแบบเรียลไทม์ จึงไม่ต้องกังวลเรื่องความผันผวนของอัตราแลกเปลี่ยน และไม่เสียค่าธรรมเนียมการใช้บริการ ที่สำคัญมั่นใจในทุกการใช้จ่าย เพราะดำเนินการภายใต้มาตรฐานความปลอดภัยขั้นสูงอย่างเข้มงวด
